Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was M. Shane. A songwriter, musician, writer, photographer, producer, and Renaissance Man Lite, M. Shane has been a dynamic force in the music industry since 2010. Growing up on the East Coast, his iconic red Les Paul became a staple of the Washington, D.C. independent music scene for over a decade. As a co-founder of Pushing Giants, the band released an album and an EP before going on hiatus in 2017.
After Pushing Giants, M. Shane embarked on a new project: the doom/stoner metal band Spilling Blood. Inspired by the downtuned riffage of Sleep and the haunted production of Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Spilling Blood released an album and an EP, earning critical acclaim and spots on several best-of lists. The band went on hiatus in 2018, marking another chapter in M. Shane’s evolving career.
Now, M. Shane is preparing to unveil new material, inspired by the harsh aridity of his desert home. His upcoming work merges introspective lyrics with influences from artists like Steve von Till and Townes Van Zandt, capturing the haunting desolation of the Mojave desert.
